ACERA started humbly, with a studio that occupied an area of less than 100 square meters. It was launched by a few young talents who sought to redefine their careers by dedicating their passion to the art of ceramics. For this reason, they came up with the name “ACERA (乾唐軒)”, with “乾(Qian)” symbolizing the omnipotent heaven and the vast world underneath, “唐(Tang)” stemming from their being touched by Tang Sancai, an art renowned for its presentation of glaze colors, and the imperial grandness of the Tang Dynasty, as well as “軒(Xuan)” meaning extraordinary demeanor. ACERA embodies more than a decade of concern with people’s lives and pursuit of art, sparking a ceramic revolution in the 21st century. It is said that the working of everything in the mortal world is determined by heaven, and that all success is somewhat predestined. Destiny may have favored the founders of ACERA when they got to see a flame of hope for their careers, upon being moved by Tang Sancai. ACERA, having grown from a little gift store, has achieved its current market share. What will happen in life is just as unpredictable as the firing of ceramic works. This can be testified from ACERA’s expansion. From Taiwan to China, it has expanded from a studio with only a few staff members to an enterprise with manufacturing bases productive enough to meet customer demands nationwide. What’s more, it further focuses its global mission by ushering in globalized fashion elements and by giving new life to ceramic works, making them measurable not only in terms of quantity and prices but also with their artistic values. ACERA’s products, just like flowers, thrive on fertile land here and there. ACERA’s success is attributed to its very basic material of ceramics: earth. Earth bears people’s memories, and these memories signify people’s nostalgia of the past and expectations regarding the future. The firing process of ceramic work is complex and uncontrollable. As such, ACERA’s works seem to come to life with the attentiveness and inexhaustible creativity of ACERA’s artists, who infuse life and soul into carving out a form of culture and art that is close to our daily life, using modern ceramic-making technology. ACERA has upheld its founding philosophies: respect nature, cherish all beings and create new, touching moments for our customers.
